Eating Out in Mérida
PANCHOS: One of a trio of fabulous restaurants owned by the same family, this is a great restaurant to go to to feel you are in Mexico.
Unashamedly appealing to tourists, it takes the famous Mexican freedom-fighter, Pancho Villa, as its theme. All the waiters are not only handsome, but dressed in traditional gun-toting outfits complete with a string of bullets ready for action ! The food is really very good indeed, and if you go along Monday-Thursday from 6pm- 8pm, they have a happy hour when it is 2 for 1 on all the cocktails. I recommend Margarita with Mango or Strawberry. The sweet fruit tones down the, for me, slightly bitter taste of a normla Margararita. What's more they cook the specials in front of you. Ask for the Tequila Shrimp flambéed before your very eyes. Finish off with Maya Coffee and a line of waiters will show you their very clever party trick - you'll need your camera for this one ! Do not miss this restaurant in Mérida

Location:
Calle (street) 59 - between Calles 60 & 62.
See also on the same website LA TRATTO - this is in the Northern part of town a taxi ride away and is very much like a Miami style outdoor modern dining experience. Again recommended.
No booking necessary
