My beautifully restored 2 bedroom house with Swimming Pool is situated in the Historic Centre of Mérida. This Ancient Capital of the Yucatán Peninsular in México, was founded by the Spanish in the 16th Century using the stones from the Pyramid of the existing Mayan city for the Cathedral. Just 10 minutes walk from the centre of town, the house, which dates from 1890, is in the charming Santiago Park area with its daily market, full of character and regular local dancing, as well as its pretty Church.

                            Santiago Park
Merida is a perfect base from which to explore the magnificent Mayan pyramids at Chichén-Itzá and Uxmal. Progreso's seafood and sandy beach is only 20 minutes away by road on the Gulf of México. The Winter climate from October to March is around 27C and sunny with 12 hours of light every day. My website has information to help you plan your trip, photos & video-guides of the fascinating places to visit and ideas for things to do across the whole Yucatán:- You can watch thousands of Flamingos in their natural habitat at Celustun, swim in the warm Caribbean and relax on world-class talcum powder beaches at Playa del Carmen, and Tulum, explore Haciendas , swim in clear underground freshwater lakes (cenotes), see and buy exquisite Mayan Art, shop for hammocks and sombreros, visit Archaeological Museums, and watch Traditional Dancing in Mérida's Main Square every Sunday at 1pm, while sipping on your margarita. To sample the delights of this wonderful Country have a look at my VIDEOS of the Dancing, the Flamingos and many of the other attractions.
